Traveling in Hong Kong by yourself using online recommendations or free walking tours is very easy. But as a local, I don't think it gives the city a fair chance if you really want to experience true Hong Kong.
The real magic of this city reveals itself when you finally pause.
I'm Angel, born and raised in Hong Kong, and the founder and guide behind DearestHongKong. I started this journey because tour guiding taught me a beautiful way to see the city. I believe travel is a lifelong—and sometimes life-changing-experience, and this is my chance to help you create beautiful memories during your time here.
My approach is organic and experience-driven.
Whether we're strolling through classic corners of Hollywood Road, enjoying dim sum while people-watching, or catching golden hour on the Star Ferry, I curate moments that matter. I share the hidden stories that make Hong Kong special, then give you space to breathe, feel the breeze, and take it all in.
It's a thoughtful, curated style of travel that has allowed me to host experiences for over 1,500 guests from around the world—including Manchester City FC—and earn features in the South China Morning Post.
