“Hace ya casi 3 meses desde que volvimos de nuestro viaje, y ayer de repente me vino un recuerdo de Hong Kong que me hizo sonreír. Pensé en un estupendo desayuno de dim sum tradicional al que nos llevó Angel, en un edificio que jamás habríamos encontrado nosotros solos. Mesas repletas de gente, carritos llenos de platos deliciosos a los que Angel perseguía para conseguirnos los bocados imprescindibles que probar, el ruido, el ambiente, gente por todas partes, y mientras disfrutábamos de cada bocado, ella nos iba explicando las tradiciones locales y asegurándose que nuestra hija de 4 años (de mal humor por el calor de la ciudad en pleno Agosto) estuviera contenta. Y recordé que todavía no había escrito una review por su estupendo trabajo. Nos sentimos muy cómodos con ella, como si estuviéramos hablando con una amiga que nos explicaba todos los secretos y costumbres de su cultura. Hicimos dos tours con ella, el de mercados nocturnos y snacks, y el de lugares emblemáticos y gemas ocultas, que modificó según nuestros gustos y preferencia, teniendo en cuenta que viajábamos con nuestra hija. Poder contar con el conocimiento de alguien nacido y criado en Hong Kong, te hace ver y entender la ciudad de una manera. Desde luego sin ella nuestros días en Hong Kong no hubieran sido ni la mitad de buenos, ya que es muy diferente pasear entre altos edificios que todos te parecen igual, a poder entender lo que estás viendo en cada momento. We were happy we did as you got to see real life Hong Kong versus the big city glitz of HK Island. Angel was our guide and did a fabulous job taking us around providing historical commentary on all the relevant sites. We toured the markets, housing areas, a local museum, etc. About 2.5 hours in total. Just the right amount of time. Great job!!!”

— Andrew, 14 December 2024“Me and my friend met Angel and knew from the beginning that we would like her. She was very nice, funny, and had a kind heart. We were interested in seeing how where the locals live, work, shopped, and restaurants they go to. She was very informative on all of the social classes. We went to the food market, the outdoor marketplaces in which she helped find what we wanted and get the best deals on things we bought. We had to purchase some personal items, so she took us to a store and helped us with our purchases. We were very interested in housing of the locals, and she explained about public housing in detail, very interesting. The tour came to an end way too soon. Angel took us to a restaurant that I believe has been in business since the 1950's. We met the owner; he helped us with our order. It was funny because when we asked if he was the boss, he said no, and pointed at his mother who was rolling spring rolls, I believe, and said, she is the boss. Before we left the restaurant he gave us a package of noodles. I would totally recommend Angel as a tour guide for this tour, Angel, you Rock!”

“It was my first time in HK and I was also traveling solo so was in need of a good guide to help show me around. Angel met and exceeded all of my expectations. I do like taking lots of photos and Angel knew all the good spots. We got some fabulous pics of the Monster building, the colorful basketball courts of Choi Hung and a hidden gem of hers a glass elevator ride snapping some incredible hi up shots of the Wan Chai district. I was also keen to Visit the world famous Australia dairy company cafe. Angel personalized that part of the tour and took me there. It’s somewhere I’d never have gone to on my own as it’s so busy and a little intimidating. But with Angel I felt perfectly comfortable and just like a local. She also gave me good advice on other places to visit for photos and places too eat for the rest of my stay in HK. I got on very well with Angel she’s very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. She really made my stay in HK even more memorable than I could imagine. Highly recommend.”

Angel was able to guide us through the area, explain where we were and the history of the area and answer any questions we had on the topic of Hong Kong in general. Das kleine 1x1 rund um den Öffentlichen Nahverkehr erklärt und uns dazu noch mit Ihrem Wissen über die Geschichte Hong Kongs begeistert. Das alles ist Ihr gelungen, ohne uns dabei zu langweilen. Oft kommt es vor, dass ein Guide historisches Wissen teilt und man irgendwann einfach abschaltet. Angel schafft es, das historische mit dem aktuellen zu verbinden und daher interessant zu machen. Wir haben mit Ihr nicht nur Hong Kong erkundet, Sie hat mit uns zusätzlich auch noch das Lieblingsteehaus Ihrer Großmutter besucht und den kompletten Aufenthalt dort organisiert. Außerdem waren wir in einem Stadtteil Hong Kongs, den Reisende normalerweise nicht zu sehen bekommen und haben dort Hong Kong Milktea und Pineapple Bun gegessen. Alles nach dem Motto: \"das hier bekommen Reisende zu sehen weil Sie es sehen wollen, nicht Touristen\" Alles in allem hat Angel unsere Erwartungen übertroffen, vor allem auch, als Sie uns nach unserer Heimat gefragt hat und wir zusätzlich zu unserer Tour noch fast 30Minuten zusammen saßen. 1A wir können und möchten Angel jedem als Tour Guide empfehlen!”

The people that come on his show don’t only speak about food, history, and culture (like your typical tour guide). They go beyond and chat about life, love, and memories of some childhood iconic moments and the architectural memories of certain neighborhoods. It’s like chatting to an old friend. Our tour with Angel (AKA Durian) felt the same. She is fun, soulful and full of life. She also has great taste in food! Note: we call her Durian because she loves the fruit, which is a must to try when you are in Hong Kong or in South East Asia.”

With a very limited time frame, Angel was very proactive, and suggested that we combine 2 of the tours we had booked with her. She came up with an excellent custom tour which catered to our needs, and really combined the key elements of both tours very well.
